Coordinate your clothing

You don’t have to wear matching curtains like the Von Trapp family, but keeping to a similar colour scheme (example: a hint of blue) or style (summer casual, semi-formal) will make your photos look harmonious.

Bring A few supplies

Sessions are outdoors and may involve walking around a park, so it’s a good idea to bring water and a snack. Other handy supplies are a mirror, brush, comb and some kleenex. If you have young kids, they can bring a toy or a ball in case they get bored. (secret: It’s also an opportunity for some action shots.)

Don’t stress

Most people enjoy family sessions more than they expect to. After a while your family will become accustomed to the camera and will start to have some fun.
